All articles in Symmetry MDPI (ISSN 2073-8994) Vol 15, Issue 7, are now freely available to access, read and download: https://brnw.ch/21wBY4kCOVER STORY: Various studies have been conducted on behavioural laterality in primates, but reviews to date have focused on data from adults because these studies comprise the bulk of prior research. For the first time, authors at Florida International University reviewed papers with data from subjects across the first year of life to determine what topics have been studied, in what species, and whether the author(s) addressed how laterality develops. They found that nipple preference and hand preference were the most studied asymmetries, and Macaca and Pan were the most studied genera. Based on their developmental quality analysis, modifying how data are collected and analysed will increase developmental rigor in primate studies. Do you want to know more about how to validate PGT, the criticalities encountered, and the results obtained? 🔍🧬🌐 Sign up for the ESHRE Webinar on-demand "Non-invasive PGT, where we are and what still needs to be investigated"🌐 The course touches upon the different types of PGT indications (niPGT-A/SR and niPGT-M). For both techniques, the course will elaborate on the best protocol to use. Finally, possible implementations to increase the accuracy of the analysis will be discussed.📆 🚨 Registration open until 23 September 2023: https://lnkd.in/d-Wrmafg

Have you heard about the Diff-Quik? MGG Quick Stain? Whatever your answer is, you'll definitely enjoy what you're going to read right now! ⬇️⬇️MGG: May Grunwald-Giemsa. It is a quick method for differential staining of formed blood elements. It can also be used to stain other types of air-dried smears (sediment smears, needle aspirates). The resulting staining can be compared to traditional May Grunwald-Giemsa method.Solutions in this kit contain the same dye as traditional May Grunwald and Giemsa solutions. Thanks to their high degree of dissociation, active molecules (eosin and thiazine dyes) can be absorbed by cellular structures very quickly.⚠️WARNING⚠️- It is important to immerse and extract specimen as requested in the method. A continuous permanence in the solution does not guarantee good staining results.- If the final staining shows unbalance between eosinophil and basophil components it is necessary to verify pH of washing water. If this value is very different from neutrality - pH 7 - we advise to use a buffer (ex. phosphate buffer pH 7 Bio-Optica) or distilled water.🔬METHOD🔬1) Dry the smear in the air.2) Immerse the slide 5 times for 1 second each in solution A. After every immersion wait a moment to drain excess.3) Immerse the slide 5 times for 1 second in solution B. After every immersion wait a moment to drain excess.4) Immerse the slide 3-5 times for 1 second in solution C. After every immersion wait a moment to drain excess.5) Wash in tap water.6) Dry the slide in the air (do not use heat sources such as oven, etc.…).For more info:https://lnkd.in/dT8SN_hK.#mgg#quickstain#diffquick#histology#histopathology#clinicaldiagnostics#laboratory#bloodsmear#cytology#bio_optica#innovativemeditech#imt#gcc#uae#ksa#jordan
